Sherry Fotopoulos ,
a sculptor and metalsmith, brings a wealth of both
education and creative experience to her PMC classes.
Her teaching style is notable for being extraordinarily
supportive, encouraging, and responsive to students.
Her classes in PMC, metalsmithing, and fused glass (plus
many other art and craft disciplines) are in demand
from Alaska to Mexico, as well as Europe. Sherry brings
a great deal to the table in terms of her art education,
which is both broad and deep. In addition to earning
an MFA (in Sculpture, Foundry) at Southern Illinois
University-Carbondale, she has studied with international
masters in Germany, Panama, and Mexico. Sherry has authored
two works on sculpture and many articles for art and
craft magazines; she has also exhibited in, juried,
and curated over 200 exhibits nationally and internationally.
In addition to teaching classes, Sherry maintains a
studio in San Antonio, Texas, where she produces custom
designs for an eyewear company, architectural sculpture
for private homes and corporations, and runs her company,
PMC123.
