The Syringe Master® has arrived!!

Hip, hip, hooray! Last month we announced our new tool with a sneak preview and pre-ordering. It arrived in time for us to show it off at the PMCC Bi-Annual Artist’s Retreat and it was a resounding HIT! Introductory pricing on this fabulous tool is available through the end of May so don’t miss out. We are very happy that we could respond to the many and constant calls for help with syringe work. Arthritis, carpel tunnel, or lack of hand strength hampered PMC artists in developing design elements with syringe work and made it nearly impossible to use paste solder for attaching ear posts, pin backs, and other findings to fired PMC. Now that’s all in the past. The Syringe Master? uses leverage, fulcrums, and “form follows function” to afford you easy access in handling, power to extrude, a stop lever to end when you want, and sturdy stainless steel construction. See “Featured Products of the Month” for details.

NOTE: We’ve ironed out that last bug. Anyone who got a Syringe Master? at the Retreat please contact us by phone (210-656-8239) or e-mail, sherryfotopoulos@hotmail.com

PMC123 Syringe Tips will expand your design style!! Each set contains 6 tips that compliment the pink 22ga round tip that comes with each metal clay syringe. The blue tip creates a 24ga round extrusion, the green tip a 20ga round, and the gray tip an 18ga round. The three dark green tips with stainless steel needles are mandrel formed by hand into flat (ribbon), half-round and square shapes. Imagine being able to lay down a perfectly square edge around an area to hold enamel, or extruding a 1 ½” length, touching down the end to your piece, and then twisting the whole syringe to lay down a twisted square embellishment!! The flat (ribbon) tip is aptly named because you can easily extrude perfect little bows. Or consider putting a tiny ball of clay on the end of a toothpick, then adding flat petals one at a time to create amazing miniature roses. These are just a few of the possibilities when using the sized and shaped PMC123 Syringe tips.

These handy Syringe Savers come two to a pack. Just fill with plain water, snap on the cap and insert the syringe tip on your syringe up to the base of the syringe tip. The water inside keeps the syringe metal clay from drying out in the tip, does not spill, and does not evaporate. You’re safe to travel by car, train or plane with your open syringes collected in a plastic bag. I’ve traveled as far as Fairbanks, AK, and Mexico City with my syringes in Syringe Savers and never had a mishap. Syringe Savers make a great inexpensive gift for all of your metal clay buddies!!
