The Latest and Greatest from PMC123

PMC123.com Newsletter| Volume 1, Issue 4 | October 2005

Hello Metal Clay Enthusiasts---

We have great news for you in this Edition of the PMC123 Newsletter.

We are introducing a brand new Photopolymer Kit. With this kit you can make your own text, image, symbol and texture stamps.

Have you always wanted to stamp your work with your own logo or signature? Create personal imagery stamps? Replicate your children’s drawings? Or even make stamps from your favorite copyright-free material or photographs??

It will ALL happen now!! Mary Maynor, noted metal clay, polymer clay, and book artist of Mary Maynor Art & Design has been developing the photopolymer printing plate technique for ten years. Her premier DVD, Polymer and PMC Techniques: Precious Metal Clay Imprinting Using Photopolymer Printing Plates is now available exclusively through www.pmc123.com as part of a complete kit for making your own flexible photopolymer printing plates.

The kit costs $49.95 and includes:

  • Mary Maynor’s 50-minute instructional video,
  • Polymer and PMC Techniques: PMC Imprinting
  • Using Photopolymer Printing Plates
  • One 3”x4” contact frame (exposing unit)
  • One surgical scrub brush/sponge and
  • 4 pieces 2”x3” unexposed photopolymer printing plate.

That means you can easily and safely make 24 square inches of printing plates using sunshine, tap water and the materials provided in this kit. The plates you’ll make are flexible, transparent (so you can see where to place the designs into your metal clay), and will last for many years with minimal care.

Additional photopolymer printing plate material is also available at www.pmc123.com. You may order the material in three different size units (each unit totals 24 square inches of photopolymer printing plate material). Unit A---one 4”x6” piece, Unit B---two 3”x4” pieces, Unit C---four 2”x3” pieces.

Check it out here.

Best Wishes,

Sherry & John

Special Invitation to have your metal clay work published!!
Hello Metal Clay Enthusiasts---I am currently writing a book on using metal clay to create jewelry and more! One very important feature of this book will be to showcase work from ALL levels and types of metal clay artists. Previous books show the work of the “biggies” or a single artist or only one type of metal clay, either PMC or Silver Art Clay. I’ve worked with both since 1997 and want to invite everyone to send me images of YOUR successes. Novice, intermediate or advanced students, instructors, ceramists, polymer clay artists, quilters, glass artists, fiber artists, everyone who has used metal clay in their work. I want your photos or slides, e-mail, discs, CDs…any way you choose to send your image(s). Don’t worry about the quality of the image(s). When your work is selected arrangements will be made for publication quality photographs. Please help me present your work to the Metal Clay world.
